Over the last year our Clustermap has been growing steadily as more and more people from all over the world come to have a look at what we’re up to here at Charlestown.   In a couple of weeks our map will start all  over again.  I though that we should have a record of it here just to remind ourselves how fantastic our blogging adventure has been so far!  Click on the map to see it in more detail.

Hi everybody!  Hope that you’ve all had a really good time playing out in the snow.   If you’re looking for something to do today have a look at the links that I’ve set up for you.

Our topic this term is all based around making Dance music.  We’re going to be making our own tracks and producing an album hopefully.   You’re also going to have to  write instructions for others on how to do it.  To get you started I’ve put together some videos that show how dance music has changed over the last 100 years or so.   Your instructions are as follows:

  • Click the link below
  • Set the slider on the left to 25 years so that you can see all the videos
  • Click on the video that you want to watch.
  •  Leave a comment on this blog post saying the track that you liked the most, so that others can try to find it too! Try to say what it was about the music that you liked.

When you’ve done that have a go on Tutpup and see if you can get any more medals.   If you’ve got any problems just email me and I’ll try and get them sorted out for you.

PS: Thanks to all the teacher for getting these blogposts up so quickly!   Any comments from parent or children would be gratefully appreciated!

The start of our blogging adventure! November 6, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorised — charlestownprimary @ 4:38 pm

This is the start of the blogging adventure In Year Six’s classroom. It’s just going to try and give a flavour of what is going on on our classroom on a regular basis.

Tomorrow should be interesting as we’re going to try and use wordle to show how we have improved our writing.
