For our Platinum behaviour day the children worked with an artist to create a mural in our playground.

Rob helped the children to spray their initals on the wall and each child added their own picture.

We all had a fantastic day and the mural looks great!

Today we held our second successful Silver Credit Card activity. The children have been able to take part in lots of fun activities organised by the teachers and teaching assistants. They have been involved in baking rice crispie cakes, (some of which will be sold at the Summer Fete on Saturday), cycling, painting, marble printing, sewing, knitting, outdoor games and cross stitching. Well done to all the children for their persistant good behaviour and thanks to all the staff for organising such fun activities for the children.

Behaviour Day.

Have a look at our behaviour day for Siver Credit Card holders. It included all sorts of activities. All the Staff decided which activities they were going to run and then children with a Silver Credit Card signed up for their chosen activites. We had a whole afternoon of saying well done for persistent good behaviour. It included cross stitch, board games, pizza making, cycling, a film, sports on the field and gardening. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work in organising it all.

Yesterday was the first of our school Behaviour Credit Card Days.  The vast majority of the school who have behaved well this term and recieved their Bronze award were invited to a cinema afternoon in the hall wearing their own clothes.  Mr. Kirkpatrick even told the children that they could bring in a chocolate bar too!   So much for being a ‘Healthy School!’

Everyone had a great time and it was well deserved!

There will be a non uniform day for all bronze credit card holders on Friday 22nd May. As long as you can produce your bronze credit card you may wear your own clothes.

Here at Charlestown we place a great deal of emphasis on rewarding the good things that our children do. At every opportunity we are making a point of celebrating good work, behaviour, progress or even good manners no matter how small.  BronzeIt is part of our behaviour policy to regularly reward this sort of effort through a system of stickers which are traded for credit cards. We believe that consistent positive reinforcement of this kind really does matter and shows that we value what our children do, building a cohesive community of learners.
