This was a scene from one of our PE lessons where a number of children stretched themselves between two benches and passed an object around their bodies. We soon passed 100 and then 150 and then 180. Connor McLaughlin (not shown here) sailed past 200 and reached a final score of 244! We were very impressed. We interviewed Connor in assembly the next week to see what kind of lifestyle he leads; we found that he eats healthily and plays lots of sport!
Salford Sailing club July 13, 2009
9 children from year 6 have recently spent a day with Mark and Tony from Salford Sailing Club based at Pennington Flash. They alerted Year 6 to the dangers of playing near water. There are many reports of children (mainly boys) who get into difficulties in water and sometimes pay for this with their lives. A great day out with a very useful purpose. This was a really good example of The Police and our Local Authority playing a proactive role in preventing loss of life by using their resources to best effect. Thanks to the BOYS and to Mrs Royle for supporting the trip. Excellent behaviour from Year 6!!
(sorry about the picture – i don’t know how to rotate on my macbook!)
Year six have been enjoying professional cricket coaching from Ben. He arranged for us to play in a Salford tournament against a number of other schools. It was a great event supported by staff and parents. Year 6 played good cricket on a full size pitch which was a great experience. Well done year 6 cricketers.
PGL March 24, 2009
Our recent trip to PGL was a great success. 32 Children from years 3, 5 &6 went to Boreatton Park in Shropshire and had a fab time. They worked as a team, they looked after each other, they suported each other and helped each other. I was proud to be the head Teacher of such a well behaved group of children. We received many positive comments from the staff. Well done everybody!

Football report December 2, 2008
At football before we had started we did
Some warm ups. The warm up was is called touch down.
When the match started we has a couple of shots and then the reaf blew the whistle and then we had started the game.
We had passed a lot and sorced a goal. Angel scored two goals but the ref blew the whistle and it was half time. We had about 4 or 5 subs on and we kept on swopping around so everyone gets ago so it is fair.
After half time we went back playing football. We had started to skill lots of people and then anthony scored a goal. I had past it to Adam and Adam chiped it up in the air and Darren headed it but it hit post and then Dylan had kicked it and scored.
